About Us

Uli Maxl, born in Germany and relocated to the United States in 1979, spent 8 years immersing himself in the wilderness of the American West.

This experience culminated in a 2-year trek with 3 llamas, from Colorado to California, reaching the Oregon border.

In California, Uli deepened his studies in Shiatsu and Taoist philosophy, acquiring knowledge in holistic healing methods.

After returning to Germany in 1987, he continued his holistic studies and practice, becoming a Professional Shiatsu Practitioner at the International School of Shiatsu in Switzerland.

He studied with world-renowned teachers such as Saul Goodman, Ray Ridolfi, and Wilfried Rappenecker. Uli also took Craniosacral Therapy courses with Joseph Marszal, a teacher at the Pacific Somatic Institute in California. He attended a moxibustion school under Franco Bottalo in Milan and studied at the A.M.S.A. Acupuncture School in Rome for 4 years. He earned his degree in massophysiotherapy at the Centro Studi Superiori in Bergamo.

The treatments are excellent both as a preventive measure and as a cure for back pain, trauma, lumbago, sciatica, hernias, menstrual problems, digestive and intestinal issues, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and more.

Meeting and Collaboration

In 1991, Uli met his life partner and wife, Marinella Rinaldi, who also shared a passion for Shiatsu and macrobiotic cooking.

Together, they moved to Italy in 1993, where they continued their work as Shiatsu practitioners, conducting training courses and deepening their studies in holistic therapies. Their son Fabio was born in 1995.
